About Ann
Ann Cummings is the Director of Operations at the Center for Law, Energy, & the Environment (CLEE), where she oversees daily operations, manages Center finances, and oversees grant and contract administration. Before joining CLEE, she served as Senior Director of Special Projects at Accion Opportunity Fund and as Chief Operating Officer of the Andrew Levitt Center for Social Emergency Medicine. Ann also brings extensive experience as a restorative justice educator in Bay Area public schools and nonprofits and previously worked with Street Law, Inc.’s Legal Diversity Pipeline Program to support student engagement in legal careers.
Ann has a B.A. in History from Brown University and a J.D. from Berkeley Law where she was an Articles Editor for the Ecology Law Quarterly. After graduation, Ann worked briefly at Pacific Gas & Electric, was the Field Placement Coordinator for Berkeley Law, and taught in the clinical program at the Washington College of Law at American University. Ann is a certified Restorative Practices Trainer with the International Institute of Restorative Practices (IIRP) and a Certified Career Technical Education Teacher (CTE) in Public Service in California
